Cycle the Camel Trail
One of our favourites is to cycle the Camel Trail.
The route is a disused railway between Padstow and Bodmin, going via Wadebridge. It weaves alongside the picturesque Camel estuary which looks across to the beaches of Rock and Daymer Bay.
The cycle to Wadebridge is a good starter: it takes about an hour, on flat easy terrain. You can enjoy a picnic halfway at the quarry, or coffee at the little stall there, and take in the views from the Iron Bridge that you cross from Padstow.
Good fun especially if you hire a tandem!

The Eden Project
A great day out for plant lovers, families and kids of all ages. This amazing place was created from clay pit to form a world-famous visitor attraction and educational charity.
Massive Biomes house the largest rainforest in captivity, stunning plants, and exhibitions. You can just turn up, or pre-plan a trip to the summer concerts and exciting year-round family events programme. In the winter months it’s a great venue for ice-skating.
40 mins away by car.
